CHALLENGE

Distill a multi-sector enterprise into a single, harmonised website that still showcases each component of the organisation

SOLUTION

With more than fifty businesses and pro bono programmes in its portfolio, Dart is by far the largest commercial organisation in the Cayman Islands. From Real Estate, Construction and Hospitality to Retail, Investment and Education, its range of interests dwarf any other competing group.

The primary task was to create a central, online resource that would effectively represent the Dart Group, its operations and long-range objectives. Intense user experience planning resulted first in a clear understanding of how the various parts of the Group fit together and then the hierarchy of needs for both the internal and external audience.

We were then able to develop a broad but relatively shallow site structure that would get any user quickly to their destination. The rationalised site structure, complimented by an elegantly simple design, avoided what could have been an overwhelming experience for the user.

RESULTS

The re-developed site received enthusiastic approval from perhaps the most demanding audience, Dart’s senior management team. They felt that, for the first time, they had a website that both captured the breadth and depth of the Dart Group but also conveyed its core personality. Site traffic growth reflects the general overall improvements that the project delivered.
