Island Heritage website and social media platform

Island Heritage

CHALLENGE

To develop a sales-oriented digital strategy for a leading regional insurance provider.

Island Heritage knew they wanted a fresh look for their web site, but more than merely showcasing their brand, they wanted to be able to bind insurance renewals and, ultimately, new premiums online. Above all, they needed a solution that would last them well in to the future.

Driven by a complex set of legacy administration and accounting systems, the challenge for BB&P became one of guiding a pan-Caribbean company through new technologies.

SOLUTION

First we consulted on the APIs required from a new Policy Administration System that would allow customers to quote, buy and bind insurance premiums online in real-time. With these defined and the client set on a clear path to implementation we set about experimenting with an array of user-experience concepts to promote Island Heritage’s insurance products and services. We then created a fully interactive prototype of the chosen concept which allowed Island Heritage to interact with the new website just as their customers would.

Ultimately BB&P developed a completely new architecture for the site flow, new product pages, a pan-Caribbean CMS to allow for independent regional content control, and the ability for customers to renew their premiums online. Built using the latest web-standards and responsive design techniques and with a simple and intuitive user interface, the new Island Heritage site delivers an experience fit for today’s mobile generation.

RESULTS

With the new website launched, Island Heritage reaffirmed its position as the region’s most innovative insurance provider. Significant operational efficiencies have also been realised through a streamlined online quote tool and renewal engine. With pervasive channel shift now a norm, Island Heritage is clearly ahead of the curve in allowing its customers to quote and buy insurance online.
